(no subject)

I'm beginning to think a lot of my friends would not like me much if I was completely honest with them. Some because the things I don't say aren't very nice; others because they lack the ability to take any sort of criticism of their actions without getting defensive and/or pissy. Is this a common thing?

Seriously, I sometimes think the image of me as a crotchety old teacher without friends is a truism.
