* Alias was ... wow. Can't wait for the season finale next week.

* Andromeda really has become a better show this season, and the last episode really brought that home.

* Buffy is back on the good list.

* I couldn't make myself watch or tape Smallville last week -- swarms of bees? NOTHANKYOU! (Phobias are FUN!)

* Am having GM difficulties. Need to do some thinking.

* Hate hate HATE when friends break up, even when I think it's best for them. Causes too many issues.

Black Celebration, Depeche Mode: This whole album is wonderful for me -- it's basically 1986 all wrapped up in one cool package. Fly on the Windscreen brings back the time I was crammed into the back seat of a Yugo with four other people, as Dan Ward hurtled down Mack Road at nearly 70 MPH. I thought I was going to die; I wouldn't have traded the moment for anything. But Not Tonight is one of those songs that makes me incredibly happy; nothing beats listening to it while cruising down the highway, windows and sunroof open, blasting the song. (I sometimes prefer to drive alone because only then can I blast my music without feeling guilty or passengers getting whiny).

No Need to Argue, The Cranberries: Pain and joy in one disc. The title track was important to me when Jacob and I split up in 1995, and my all-time favorite Cranberries song, Yeat's Grave, is on the album.

Aliens Ate My Buick, Thomas Dolby: 1987 wrapped up with a bow. My favorite is Pulp Culture, but all of it reminds me most often of Ed Gyles, who first gave me the tape.

Darkening Of The Light, Concrete Blonde: Reminds me of my late friend Amber

Joey, Concrete Blonde: Reminds me of an old girlfriend and her attitude towards me.

Bloodletting, Concrete Blonde: Reminds me of my days in Vamp LARPs.

Dead Man's Party, Oingo Boingo: We used to play this album every Friday at the Haven while preparing for the evening's LARP. It was our definitive "get-in-the-mood" music. I often miss the carefree nature of those days, when we didn't worry about aging, car payments, or other staples of adulthood. Rent was paid, and that was all we cared about.
