Air Superiority!
This weekend is the Capital Airshow at Mather Air Force Base, which is
almost literally across the street from my school site (it's actually
two streets over, but I can see it from the doorway of my classroom). All
week there have been F-18s flying around practicing, sometimes doing
maneuvers and other times just streaking by at high speeds. The sound is
amazing, but it distracts the students like nothing else.
