God Damn people piss me off.
I do not understand the idiocies of argument when it comes to space travel. Most especially I don't understand the argument that says space travel will never be practical, or it will never happen.
Uhm, doofus? Progress. Things advance. 100 years ago no one could fly. Now we have supersonic fighters and jet transports that carry hundreds of people across the oceans in mere hours.
In 1959 a respected scientist said "Regardless of all future scientific advances, mankind will never set foot on the moon." We did. Ten years later.
Why does no one get this?
I know, I've said it before. *sigh*
Here: A whole page of dumbass predictions from our glorious intelligentsia.

I just watched the trailer for The Return of the King at the official site.
I've loved the trailers for all of these films; they're works of art in their own rights. This one tops both the previous trailers for sheer emotional impact.
