(no subject)
1. Name your ten favourite fictional characters of all time and what book, movie or tv show they came from. (in no real order)
1. David Rice, Jumper
2. Alex Summers/Havok, The Uncanny X-Men
3. Cailet Ambrai, Exiles: The Ruins of Ambrai, Exiles: The
Mageborn Traitor, and (someday) Exiles: The Captal's Tower.
4. Elizabeth Braddock/Psylocke, Uncanny X-Men
5. G'Kar, Babylon 5
6. Delenn, Babylon 5
7. The Doctor, Doctor Who
8. Mal Reynolds, Firefly
9. Niki Falcon, Falcon
10. Vanyel Ashkevron, The Books of the Last Herald-Mage: (Magic's Promise, Magic's Pride, Magic's Price)
2. Name five fictional characters that you would like to have an affair with and/or marry, plus the source. You may disregard any pre-existing attachments for these characters. (in no real order)
I'm making the assumption I'd be single for this, because I do not desire to have an affair with anyone, fictional or not. And no, it's not fear of
1. Elizabeth Braddock/Psylocke, Uncanny X-Men
2. Vanyel Ashkevron, the LHM trilogy (see above)
3. Delenn, Babylon 5
4. Cailet Ambrai, The Exiles duology (dammit, Rawn, finish the series!)
5. Seamus Harper, Andromeda (And Rommie, but hey, she's an android. So, no.)
3. Name five books/literary works that you would like to live in.
You know, it's interesting. I do read more than SF/Fantasy, but there are no "classical" works I'd actually want to live in. I've also included "placement" preferences. I mean, the question rather begs it; who wants to be "second muckraker from the left"?
1. Pern, specifically the period of F'lar's leadership, from Dragonflight onwards. Oh, to be a Bronze (or Brown!) Rider!
2. The Dragon Prince/Dragon Star worlds. And I want to live through all six books. ;) And be a Sunrunner.
3. Harry Potter (but only if I wasn't a muggle, and hopefully was a Ravenclaw)
4. Star Wars: The New Jedi Order (not *quite* in the spirit of the question, probably, but it is a book series!); Jedi, live to the end. I'll cope with the pain and death and horror of the war, but I want to see the end, thanks.
5. The Exiles series, as a Mage-Guardian after the Rising.
4. What classic/critically acclaimed work(s) of literature do you fully appreciate the artistic merits of but hate nonetheless?
Edmund Spenser's The Fairie Queene.
5. In the comments, name five books that you would recommend I read.
