So, I read something on

shaggy's journal; it made me realize that I need to rethink a great deal of what I thought I knew about him. We're far more alike (barring our politics) than I previously was willing to admit.

This doesn't mean we're going to become good friends, of course -- only time can tell if that's to happen -- but it does mean I won't be quite so annoyed by him in future, now that I've seen a part of where he comes from.
