OK, so Shinji is in BIG trouble.

I decided to record Birds of Prey so I could watch it with Mike when he got home. I started it going, then left the room.

When we watched the show, the tape cut off right after the scene with Alfred and Barbara in the lair, not halfway through the damned thing. Apparently Shinji, the only cat in the house and the only one who dares step on remotes, did so.

So. Terri, did you manage to get this on tape? If so, please keep it for me so I can see it this weekend? Please?

As to the rest of you, get your asses to a store and get a damned VCR. The format isn't dead until we can record on DVD. :P

I taped, but I'm not sure what I have yet. I forgot that I have my VCR set to tape MDs at 10, so I'm missing either the last 10 min of Birds of Prey or the first 10 min of MDs. Don't know which program request would be dominant.

I also have a bizarre little ritual in my house whenever I go to bed or leave while something important needs to be recorded. Every one of the remote controls is turned to face away from the entertainment center.

That doesn't work here; the damned things are omnidirectional. I should have put them on top of the DVD cases, but I forgot.
