Teaching Assignment
I got placed yesterday, and it's a mixed blessing.
On the one hand, I'm now going to be teaching at one of the better schools in the district; in fact, it's the school I've wanted a shot at since the beginning.
On the other hand, the position is teaching English Language Learners--kids with little to no English ability. It's not the ideal assignment for me in that respect, but I'm hoping that in another year or so I can move back to teaching the higher-level classes. The possibility exists, however, that I'll find I really like this kind of work. It isn't likely, but it's possible.
