A coworker just asked me for a ride to our "So you got a pinkslip" meeting
this afternoon. And for some reason, I resent the fact he asked, even
though there's really no reason to.

I guess I just feel like, if you know what you have to do in the afternoon,
you ought to make arrangements BEFORE the morning of said event. But
whatever.

I said yes, I just am bothered by it somehow. Meh.

So today is a meeting with the union reps to discuss the coming layoff
issue, and all employees who received notice are supposed to attend.

So today I get an email from a coworker that asks me to email her directions
to get there. Because I'm the damned site rep, I have to make nice and send
her the directions, when what I WANT to say is:

Really? Seriously? Because Google Maps is too damned hard for you?

I HATE when people ask me to handle things they ought to have the
intelligence and resources to solve on their own. This is a woman with a
fucking Master's Degree, and she can't figure out how to look up the high
school where the meeting is and get directions?

For this and other reasons, my department members have begun referring to
her as "The Ditz."
