1. Get a website up and running--I pay for webspace as part of my internet
access; why don't I use it? www.Johnston-English.com sounds good. And it
would remove all the excuses I get from parents and students.
2. Rewrite English 11 curriculum using Holt and the new Novels for next
year.

3. Rewrite the Ender's Game novel unit

4. Re-read and annotate novels I'll be teaching

5. Write the AP English Literature and Composition curriculum

6. Rewrite the Journalism curriculum

7. Go on day trips to Napa, San Francisco, and San Juan Bautista

8. Go on either a one- or two-day trip (taking daughter) to see the
Manzanar Internment Camp site and take pictures and maybe video I can use in
my classes next year. Hmm. I may need help to do this right. Maybe get some
JA who were there to meet me and talk to me? Hmm. Think more on this.

9. Arrange some guest speakers for the beginning of next year so I can get
the ball rolling early. I'd like one per month, at least.

10. Write a series of "tools and tips" lessons for the first two weeks on
note-taking, behavior, and other things my students SHOULD know by 11th
grade but don't.

I may not get to all of it, considering I'll also be full-time caregiver and
I intend to enjoy the hell out of that as much as I can, but I'll do as much
as I can.
