A great wordsmith has died.

George Carlin has died of heart failure. He was 71.

Never has a man made me laugh more consistently than Carlin. Frequently he had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. For those who know me, that means something--because I rarely laugh out loud, even when I think something is funny. It has to be truly insanely funny to make me laugh. He managed it as few could.

I'll miss him.
