Well, that's that over with.
As of yesterday, I have done the last thing I need to do (other than pay the California Teacher Credential Commission my dues) to get my Credential. I am pretty much no longer an Intern teacher.
Of course, I still have to go through BTSA (Beginning Teacher Support & Assessment; translation: More Hoops To Jump Through to Prove I Want to Teach), which is kind of silly considering I've done this two years now, and been assessed all along, but oh well. Once that's done (It will happen all next year) I'll convert from Preliminary credential to Professional Clear Credential, which I'll only have to renew every five years. I'll have Tenure then, too.
And, of course, assessment and learning will continue. A Master's Degree is in my future, and maybe even a Ph.D. eventually.
But the important thing is, I did it.
