A Good Day: Old and New Together!
Today I had lunch with an old friend, his wife (a new friend!) and their munchkin.
It's always nice to reunite with old friends and discover that you still like them. Liking their choice of spouse is even better. So, that was good.
Then we went to Elk Grove to visit with my aunt and my Uncle, who was celebrating both his 56th birthday and his retirement after 27 years with the Manteca Fire Department. That was a nice time, and my sisters (and auntie mom) ooh-ed and ah-ed over the baby as usual.
Next week my aunt will begin watching the baby girl two days a week so Elli can actually get some work done, KJ can get her baby yayas in, and I can have a little bit of quiet some days when I'm on vacations. Not to mention Elli and I can get some movie-watching and couple-being time in.

Friends am good. Family am good. Life be excellent!
