Interview Report
Well, the interview in Davis went well. The Principal even made a point of telling me that my answers were good even for a teacher with experience, so coming from someone with no experience, they were great. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean I'll get the job, because her district isn't even convinced yet they want to take part in the Impact program. She did seem to indicate that she really liked me as a candidate, but then, so did the Principal over at Luther Burbank, so I'm not holding my breath.
But even if I don't get the job, the interview went a long way to restoring my faith in myself, even though it was actually the hardest interview I've had. It was a full panel: Two teachers, the guy I'd be replacing (a third teacher), the Principal, a parent, and a student. And they asked difficult questions, so the compliment paid me at the end of it really did make my day, even if I don't get hired.
Shortly I'm going to go pick up some cat litter, because my cats are basically poop machines with legs, and then I'm going to call the Impact offices and see if any schools are calling up desperate.
