Teaching stuff; Golden Path post
Since SCUSD is not officially hiring anyone for the Intern program, the director of the program is giving me copies of my recommendation letters so I can use them in applying to other districts.
It is still possible I can end up at SCUSD. They are still willing to hire individual teachers for the Intern program; it's just that the official SCUSD Cohort isn't being hired for budgetary reasons. If I can convince a SCUSD principal with an opening for an English teacher that I'd be a good risk, I can get it. So I'm scouring the SCUSD listings daily, and also working some in-district contacts. I'm also, of course, looking and applying to other areas.
I need to either get someone with a scanner to help me scan these letters, as well as some other paperwork, into files for upload to Edjoin sometime this week, or convince my wife that we need a scanner bad enough to put it on the Sears card. I'd really prefer the former; we have enough debt as it is. Anyone willing to put up with me long enough to do that?
