A tricky thing, memory.
I would not have thought this line, which appears only in the TV version of Children of Dune and not the novel, memorized. But I'm listening to the soundtrack, and as the track plays during which Leto and his father finally meet on the sands of Arrakis, the line plays in my head, McAvoy's voice pure and clear:
Dammit, music, don't make me all weepy! I'm at work!
Heh. I may no longer wear the name, but I am still the big damn Dune freak.
How many nights... I have sat on Dune, just like this, imagining a night, just like this, with… with my father. Just the two of us... talking and laughing. And how many nights I have gone to sleep on the cold floor of the sietch, dreaming of his arms around me, sheltering me from everything I was afraid of, everything I could not understand!
Dammit, music, don't make me all weepy! I'm at work!
Heh. I may no longer wear the name, but I am still the big damn Dune freak.
