johnstonmr: (Yuck!)
I started going to the gym again on Monday. Now, I know the resultant pain is generally a good thing, and signals that I'm working the muscles, and all that.

But the pain makes it really hard to want to go back.

This must be why "no exercise" diet plans sell so well despite the fact everyone knows they don't work.

EDIT: I'm not actually in that much pain; it's just soreness. Nothing like the time I mixed up some readings on my chart and reversed the weights used for two different machines. I spent two weeks in agony after that, and learned that I needed reading glasses.

I made a Quiz for you! Take my Quiz! and then Check out the Scoreboard!

This might be easier, or harder, depending on who you are.

Eh, the title's a song in Evita. Not really pertinent, but eh.

I am getting more and more angry with the outright lies the "Yes on (Insert prop number here)" ads I've been seeing and hearing. The best (or worst) part is that they keep referring to "Sacramento" as if the governor isn't as much a part of the state bureaucracy as the legislators he's blaming everything on.

I'll say it again: Schwarzaneggar, the man who campaigned by accusing Gray Davis of spending more time raising money than doing his job, the man who promised he would NOT seek Special Interest money, has raised more than TWICE the amount of money Gray Davis did, and a LOT of it has come from Special Interest groups.

Vote down the nonsense of that hypocritical egomaniac. And next election, send him back to Hollywood where his crap is welcome.

You know what? I almost don't care if the next governor is a Republican, as long as its not HIM. Or, well, another right-wing whacko like the president.
