Welcome urban_bohemian to LJ. Brian is one of only three people on ChampionsMUSH I've wanted to remain in contact with since I stopped logging in there, and the only one I actually have remained in contact with.

My endless attempts to get him to move out to California have failed, and probably good for him that they did, or he'd have been caught in all the drama of the last year. :)

Let me tell you about the Arcanum.*

The Arcanum was a superhero team on ChampionsMUSH. Unlike most teams, ours had a dedicated focus -- we fought the nasty things that inhabit the Dark. We stood between the world and the Dark. We tended to avoid getting other heroes involved in our little war, which led to lots of people not liking us OOC, because they never really understood that they weren't supposed to know we existed as a team. They knew our members, but we were quite careful to never refer to ourselves as a formal team, but rather "associates" who worked together from time to time. *sigh*

I miss that team, in and out of character. I wish we could play together again, because a) we never did finish several storylines I'll always wonder about (what the hell WAS that sword of mine, Brian?) and b) the members and the GM became very friendly, and we'd talk as much OOC as IC. But CMush became less than it had been, and we all drifted away. *sob*
