"Man is born crying. When he has cried enough, he dies."
That's one of my favorite lines ever, from Ran, by Akira Kurosawa. It's uttered, appropriately enough, by Kyoami, Lord Hidetora's jester, who was played by a Japanese comedian calling himself Peter.
Ran is one of the best movies ever made, and in my opinion (and you'd better stand back, the god of English Lit majors is about to strike me down) it improves upon the Shakespearean work it is based on, King Lear.
Anyway. Just thought I'd share. ;)
