10 Things about me I probably shouldn't say:

1) People who constantly must prove how enlightened, artistic, intellectual, or cool they are irritate me. This goes double for those who talk as if they're a PhD dissertation.

2) I wasn't terribly impressed with Watchmen.

3) The best thing about Rupert Everett is that he can pull off Oscar Wilde's humor. The fact he's a gorgeous gayboy is just icing.

4) I'm feeling more and more out of touch with popular culture.

5) I am tired of pretending I'm not pissed off at certain behaviors, mostly from my family.

6) While I do enjoy people, I'm solitary by nature. Sometimes its hard for me to deal with other people no matter how much I like them.

7) I detest the work of Frank Quitely, Sam Keith, and Rob Liefeld pretty much equally.

8) I think Warren Ellis writes some good stuff, but he's entirely too impressed with himself. And if he hates superhero stuff so much, he really ought to quit writing it so well.

9) The only reason I don't quit my job every day is that I have a car payment to make.

10) I need sleep more than I used to.

I think that, in the near future, I may be dropping LJ in favor of a more "personal" system run on my own system.

Addendum: I'm considering leaving LJ not because of the limits -- I don't care about that, really -- but because I'm just tired of the bad functionality, which wasn't any better when I was a paid customer.

And more importantly, I have to admit, I'm kind of bored with the whole thing. It's become far too important a means of keeping in sync with my own local social group, and to me that's a bad thing. We only live minutes from each other, and we do all our planning on LJ? Shame.

There's a song I detest which has the chorus "Seems to me that maybe/pretty much always means no" or something like that. The final part of the song, where the guy goes into falsetto mode, really gets on my nerves.

It's been demonlooping through my head for well over six hours, and nothing keeps it out. I'm right now listening to October Project (one of my favorite early 90's bands) and I STILL hear that bastard in the background of my mind.
