O Mighty Understanders of Win-Doze, your humble supplicant has a question:
Some nimrod at my ISP advised me, when told my system would not go to any website or allow my email program to contact the server even while connected to the system, to delete Iexplore.exe and reinstall.
Ok, fine. Two problems:
1) Trying to reinstall Win98 does no good, it just won't install. Trying to install iexplore.exe direct from the disk results in a BSOD.
2) Running the IE6 install program on my system tries to download the files from online, which of course cannot be done.
I'm about ready to just reformat the hard drive and reinstall from scratch. Any better ideas?
If there are not any better ideas, does anyone have an external (hell, or internal, I'm in no mood to be picky) ZIP or CD-Burner I can borrow to store some of the data I'll lose in a reformat?
And give me no shite for using IE.
