A Tongue-In-Cheek list to tweak my Aikidoka friends:

10 Things that make Wushu (Kung-Fu) cooler than Aikido:

1. We get more -- and much cooler -- weapons to play with.
2. Kung Fu forms are more impressive, acrobatically.
3. Two words: Wire Work.
4. There are no "Aikido Movies"
5. Two Words: Jet Li
6. We get to have cool names for Forms, like "Flying Tiger Goes to the Mountain!"
7. No Wushu practitioner would stand in freezing cold water for six hours. (Ok, that's probably not true, but hey.)
8. Zhang Zi-Yi
9. Jackie Chan
10. The only Aikidoka movie star is Steven Seagall.

My little sister Blair is just like me.

She told me the other day she never cares when her mom restricts her from television: "I can just go to my room and read. That's more fun anyway."

It's like having my own little mini-me.

Of course, since she doesn't yet know I'm gay, I can't let slip that when she drools over Legolas, I'm in agreement.

I saw a long preview of Joss Whedon's new series Firefly last night.

Wow. It was clearly space-based science fiction, but it is also 100% Joss:

Character 1: "Radio check. Come in."
Character 2: "I'm standing right here."
Character 1: "Good, you're coming in loud and clear."
Character 2: "Because I'm STANDING RIGHT HERE."
