Some facts about my abscence from work yesterday:

1) It was a family issue, you don't need to know.

2) I did call in properly, the fact they didn't let anyone not in management know for four hours is not my problem.

3) Do not give out my home phone number without permission - even if you know I like that person, I may have reasons for not giving it to them. (This does NOT apply to those I spend every weekend with, however.)

(And Ox, it's ok. Just a reminder to everyone else.)

4) The fact this lead to a discussion kinda bugs me. Don't mind me, I have no patience and few nerves left today.

I think I'm going to have to pick up the "World-Builder" guide for Neverwinter Nights.

I scripted a long and detailed conversation yesterday -- and can't for the life of me get the NPC to actually talk when clicked on.

Dammit. I'm getting addicted to the world-building aspect of this game almost as much as to the play.

Professor Lupin (of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) rocks. Maybe when I get home access again, I'll find a MU* that wants one and app him. Maybe.

I thought [livejournal.com profile] closer2myself was being a tad silly about getting English editions. But after numerous brain hiccups when I come across Americanized text, I see her point and want my own versions. www.amazon.co.uk, here I come. Someday.

I just borrowed from [livejournal.com profile] ox_number_10 the Counting Crows album "August and Everything After," an album I once had on tape but which has disappeared.

I'd forgotten how much I love this album. I think Friday holds a trip to The Beat for me.
