Assorted small bits
I am beginning to realise there are giant perceptual gaps between my friends and I. For example, I'm not sure why my friends have declared "Impostor" cheesy without having seen it -- the previews don't look cheesy to me.
Terri: I located the info on Student Loans and have begun the process. Wish I'd known that previously. Damned bitchy college office types.
I hate my job. Today, I'd rather be mucking out stables. Hell, I'd look better if I was doing that for a living. Wouldn't smell better, though. :) I find I'm missing the labors of growing up on a small ranch/vineyard. I miss riding out to check the grapes with my friend Andrea (her family owned the vineyard; there's a large chunk of it I can point to and say "I helped plant that" -- and I've had wine from that field, it's good stuff), either on horseback or ATV. I miss riding Easy (my father's horse; he adopted me and became mine when I was 15) and Sage (my Mustang stallion... I miss that sumbitch) every day. I miss harvest, and (I admit it) the satisfaction of completing a good day's actual, hard work. Mind you, I don't want to do that kind of thing ALL the time. But I miss it. I also miss climbing the enormous rocks that littered my family's area, and the river, and the solitude I found along its shores. I miss the friends I grew up with and haven't seen in over a decade.
Jerry, I haven't forgotten you. I'm just busy.
Terri, good call on Alias last night. Glad I didn't disagree with you, or I'd be eating crow today. Actually, we /both/ had good calls. Yay us.
Ok, I really need to get back to work now.
