Frustrated

It's incredibly frustrating that every time I take a step forward in
regard to my father, I take one back.
So, yeah. I found him--and he'd been dead for 10 years. Then I found
my uncle--and that's great, don't get me wrong--but he hadn't seen my dad in
10
years before his death. Neither of us really know anything about his
second wife except for her name. I want very much to find her, to learn
what I
can, but I've slammed into a dead end. Short of hiring a PI, I'm just
not sure what else I can do. I've pretty much exhausted all the avenues of
research that don't require me to spend money. It would be better if I
at least had a middle name or something.
Oh... marriage records... but then, I'd need to know where they got
married to find that. Hmmm.
So, yeah. Anyone know a Julie D. Johnston, maiden name Duroncelet,
probably in her 40s-50s, once married to a guy named Robert Eugene Johnston?
All I
know is that someone found her back in 2004 and she refused to accept
an inheritance meant for my father. Unfortunately those lawyers didn't know
about me, or I'd have wiped out my student debt. Oh well.
Anyway, suggestions? Please make them reasonable ones: I'm not rich, here.
