Not the typical Monday
I've been here just under an hour and already put out three major fires; two
for the school paper (which goes nameless, because there is probably already
too much info on this blog that could allow people to trace where I work,
and I really need to fix that), and one for a student, which wasn't really
my job to fix, but I had an idea and the student didn't, but he liked mine,
so GREAT.
These are the days that make me feel like I'm in the right job. However, I
have seven more hours in my work day; let's see how that goes. Actually, I
have eight, since I agreed to stay late today so the journalism staff can
meet deadline tomorrow. (Don't worry, Elli--I'll still be leaving in plenty
of time to pick up Bun-Bun).
Also, I've switched off my phone to conserve power, since I left my charger
at home and it's on the last dregs. So email is the only way to get through
to me today; fortunately I still manage to check it often, though only about
once every other hour or so.
