Skip this if you hate cats
It's probably hard for people who either dislike cats or who have never had pets to understand, but this morning was even MORE depressing than last night. For the first time in twelve years, Caisha wasn't coming for his morning scritches.
Seriously, every morning for the past twelve years, Caisha has come to me, trilled at me, and rubbed his head on me. It was a cherished part of my morning ritual: Wake up, sit up, wait for Caisha to realize I was awake (he almost always slept either between my legs or next to them), pet him and say good morning, then go shower and dress. Then pet him some more before I leave for work.
I'm gonna miss that boy.
