General Update
Life at work
Still teaching.
My student teacher makes me nervous; I'm always worried he thinks I'm an idiot. I shouldn't worry about it, but I can't help it.
It's really weird, teaching English 12 and AP English. The texts are the same, but the approach is very different, and it's sometimes hard to switch gears--fortunately I have lunch and my prep between them.
The staff has gone from four teachers I can't stand to only two, so that's an improvement. However, several of our newer teachers are very much the kind of straight-laced, only-one-way-to-teach, no-detectable-sense-of-humor kind of teachers that tend to get on my nerves, so that number may in fact rise over the course of the year.
Life at home
Elli is slowly getting better, but still in pain.
Sleeping in is pretty much a thing of the past; Tegan tends to wake up anywhere between 5 and 7am. Fortunately she's very sweet when she gets up, or I'd be in worse shape than I generally am.
