The Good:

This sums up why I don't play Eve Online.

I adore Yahtzee (the guy who makes Zero Punctuation, not the game). Even when I disagree with him, his "reviews" (which are really more like bitchy rants in the Diana Trent* tradition) make me laugh. You have to pay attention, partially because he talks very fast, and partially because the visual jokes are often as funny or funnier than the vocal ones.

The Bad:
I have a headache that doesn't seem like it's going to go away.

The Ugly:
I've now lost two drivers for the Senior Trip, and nobody seems to want to step up. I also found out that because only two teachers are going, neither of us is allowed to be a driver due to Federal safety regulations and state Ed. Code about chaperonage. So now I have to attempt to convince some of the most out-to-lunch, uninvolved parents EVER that they really want to drive to Anaheim and back.

Shit.

My wife is mean. MEAN.

Today she tells me she *almost* bought me an iPod touch for my birthday (which I've been wanting since they came out), but then decided she shouldn't without asking me first. I was all over it. Then she calls me after she's left to go to the store (and hinted that she'll go to Apple) and says that maybe we shouldn't; that we'll spend a lot this weekend, and that after her big speech about saving money, maybe we shouldn't. And I was disappointed. I understood, but y'know, disappointed nevertheless.

Then she comes home, on the phone, fake-raving about something, and asks me to put away the groceries. Halfway through, there's an iPod touch. I smiled, but she's mean. Really. No, really.
