Family, old photos, and decisions.
My aunt loaned me a photo book full of pictures of me as a baby, my uncle, my father, etc. I was supposed to scan them and then return the book.
Um, no. I'm going to try to keep the whole book; if she requests it back, she can have it--except for this picture:

Nope. This one, I'm keeping. Look at that. I'm happy. My father is happy. I only saw him a couple of times after that. After April of 1973, I never saw him again. So this memory? This happy day? I'm keeping this. Doesn't matter that I have it scanned--I want the original.
