Thing I don't often admit #447
I am immensely--nay, the right word is perhaps
incredibly--jealous of those of my childhood friends who managed to
remain in Napa. I miss my hometown a lot, and while the place is fairly
close by, really, I don't get there as often as I would like.
I know Napa isn't what it was when I lived there, but the "feel" of the town
is the same. The only reason I haven't moved back is that I could not
afford to live in the part of town I'd want to. The house I grew up in last
sold for 1.8 million dollars. There are cheaper places, of course,
but they're the same as living here, for the most part.
But every once in a while, I wish I could convince my wife to move there
with me, and get a job teaching in the Napa district.
