Freaking wow...
It's official. The guy in the post below is my uncle, Michael Ray Johnston. He's a musician in Kansas City, Missouri. Yep, that's right, I have relatives in Missouri. Weird, right? Technically, he lives in Westwood, Kansas, which is literally right over the border from KC, MO.
He probably doesn't know a lot more about my dad than I do; the email says that he tried to find my dad a few years back and discovered he'd been killed; he talked to some of my dad's coworkers, who said his life was better just before he died.
But the important part is that I have a connection to my dad's family again.
