Fun With Dipshits
From the San Francisco Chronicle...
"In a televised interview Friday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin defended her request for an estimated $200 million in federal projects from Congress - even as earlier in the day her GOP running mate John McCain insisted Palin had never sought money from Congress."
They can't even get their story straight!

The thing that really pisses me off about McCain isn't really his policies, which while I don't agree with, I'm not going to go rabid about. It's the fact that often, when someone challenges him on pretty much anything, he brings up the PoW angle.
Now, don't get me wrong. I respect anyone who serves in the armed forces of their country, even if I don't always agree with how the armed forces are utilized by the government. It takes guts to stand in the way of people who are shooting at you, and I can't help but respect those who can do it. I also respect that the man was a prisoner of war, and suffered through that. He's a hero, and you can't really deny that unless you deny everyone who has ever suffered in such a manner.
However... it doesn't qualify him to be the President. It doesn't excuse his lies, his distortions, or his flip-flops. About the only policy decision I can support the guy on now is his refusal to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and I bet he changes his mind on that before the end of the year.
Obama, too, has said some stupid things--that whole "bitter" comment about the midwesterners was one of them--but jaysus gawd, at least he doesn't repeat himself over and over.
And Palin? You have the most annoying voice ever. Please, for the love of god, shut up.
I swear to the skies, America, if you fall for the lies their campaign is spewing I'm done with respecting the collective intelligence of our nation.
