So I finally got my hands on Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition. And I have some good things to say about it, but I also have some issues with it.
I'm not, for example, entirely happy with the way they made a lot of spells into Rituals just about anyone can do if they have the scroll. And I'm not pleased the way that even a master wizard will now know only about ten spells in his entire life. Maybe it will play better than it reads, but I'm just not happy with what looks to me a lot like gimping my favorite class. And maybe future books will make this less so, but it seems to me that the great variety of customization 3rd Edition had is pretty much gone, now.
That said, I haven't yet played, so I'll chime in (as if you care) when I have.
