Grading Programs
Dear Gradebusters.com:
I HATE your program. Because my admin insisted I had to use it, I do so. I've even learned to use it without cursing my computer and your entire family.
However. If you could be so kind as to actually create a website that is USEFUL, or even gives decent information, I'd appreciate it. The fact that I have to email you to find out what I need to know galls me more than you will ever know. Your site says it is "proudly" designed by NaCL designs. If they're a separate company, fire them. If it's just another name for your wife, or mom, or whatever... just hit yourself in the head repeatedly with an anvil, mmkay?
I mean, you don't even put PRICES on your site. You're all "Download our spiffy new program" and "It works so well" and never, ever "Oh, by the way, here's how much we're going to charge you for this counterintuitive, piece-of-shit program." No, I had to dig around in the damned folder to find a brochure that actually had the price on it!
$99???!??!?! My boss paid $100 for this crap? I bought EGP for HALF that, and it works a thousand times better!
EDIT: It's not that much; Ventura Educational Systems sells the program for $74. But I can't afford to buy a new version for my Mac, and my district won't, so fuckit.
[Whiny voice] I want my Easy Grade Pro back!!!! [/Whiny voice]
Note: Seriously, a lot of teachers love MTG, but I am not one of them. Neither is my colleague. Neither is another colleague with whom I disagree on just about everything else. But my boss forced me to use it. I hate MTG so much that I'm actually contemplating using EGP and then transferring my data weekly (which cannot be done easily). I hate MTG that much. If only I could export from EGP and import into MTG, but I can't find a common format.
