Doctor Visit
My visit to the doctor today hasn't done much to stop my fear.
My blood tests showed elevated platelets, which could be a stress reaction. But they also showed elevated blood sugars, which could either be a response to a viral infection--one of the suspected causes of Bell's Palsy--or a symptom of diabetes. So I had another blood test to check that out. My triglycerides seem to be ok, though, so diabetes is possible but not definite.
My MRI is on Sunday, unless I can find a place with a quicker appointment, and the next appointment with Dr. Baker is next Friday.
My bad cholesterol is a little high, so I need to start working on that, as well as weight. I've regained a lot of weight, so I need to get back on the eating better train and stay there, as well as exercise more.
I'm also under Doctor's Orders to reduce stress. Yeah, I'll get right on that.
Feh.
