The 2006 Hugo Award Nominees were announced a few weeks back. Of particular interest is the Dramatic Presentation, Short Form category. Three Doctor Who episodes have been nominated:
"Dalek" Written, Robert Shearman. Directed, Joe Ahearne.
"The Empty Child" & "The Doctor Dances" Written, Steven Moffat. Directed, James Hawes.
"Father's Day" Written by Paul Cornell, directed by Joe Ahearne
I want "Father's Day" to win. Don't get me wrong, I loved the other two (Empty Child/Doctor Dances is a two-part story) as well, but it seems fitting to me that the most painful and cathartic story in the entire first season should win.
Besides, I have a writer-woody for Paul Cornell.
