PC Woes

Zathras is up and running -- and I lost no data. Ah, lost knowledge, how I love thee.

(Do you fellow old-timers KNOW how few folks today know how to use the command prompt, let alone tweak the BIOS/CMOS settings? I've met guys with BAs in computer science who can't move a file from one dir to another in DOS.)

The day just keeps getting better.

The office I need to get my CSET waiver signed off by doesn't open until 1. This isn't fatal, but it does screw with my entire schedule for the day.

Perils of working in a University Library, #43: We just discovered someone peed in one of the periodical bins. Yuck. Fortunately my contract doesn't call for cleaning up bio-waste; that's someone else's job.
