Donald Wildmon's conservative watchdog group is at it again.

Now they're bitching about a TV show that hasn't even aired, because it depicts a an Episcopalian Priest who has a drug addiction and his alcoholic wife. Because, apparently, religious folks don't have flaws.

Never mind I once attended a church where the pastor was a recovering from both alcoholism and a heroin addiction. Never mind the endless stories of priests and pastors who molest children (It's not just Catholics, folks!). Never mind the whole Jerry Falwell story.

My point is not to bash Christians, but Wildmon and his idiotic group of dipshits, who regularly condemn stuff even my conservative Baptist Minister father-in-law watches and loves. They give true Christians a bad name, because they want to hide the truth: That Christians, just like us non-believers, are both good and bad, are both angels and demons. Being a Christian doesn't mean in and of itself that you're a moral and good person -- there are plenty of corrupt folks who believe in god, think Jesus is their savior, go to church every week and tithe like mad.

Hey, Wildmon -- how about watching the show before you start freaking out, eh?

This post by someone I've never talked to previously is a great echo of my own thoughts regarding the whole Doctor/Rose relationship and why the whole "They're in love!" thing doesn't grab me.

Here's another take on it.

Elli convinced me to finally watch "O Brother, Where Art Thou," and while I didn't think it was "Fantastic," I also didn't think it was bad. In short, I liked it, but probably won't feel the need to watch it again.

However, I can NOT get that song, "A Man of Constant Sorrow," out of my head. Rather, if I do get it out of my skull, it's replaced by that repetitive lullabye Jeri Ryan and her siren sisters sing.
