Career Woes
The best option for me to go through regarding credentialing is the Project Pipeline system. I'd earn FT salary while teaching FT; the program would be two years long, and it's a good system, well-regarded among schools.
The downside? Elk Grove -- the district where I'm most likely to easily get hired -- does not appear to participate in the Pipeline Project. They're the best district in the area, one of the best in the state, in fact, and it's damned hard to get hired there. I have an ally, however, in the district, who has already pledged herself to get me a position. But unless I go through the CSUS Credential Program (which is still possible), that won't be possible through the Pipeline Project.
Elk Grove, you see, has its own credentialing program: which is $4000 more expensive than the Pipeline Program, and in which I would NOT be earning a FT salary and may not be paid at all.
I'm already planning to apply to all three possible programs, but this is dueced annoying. All the deadlines are within the next six to eight months on top of my schoolwork and the bloody CBEST I have to take in August, and I'm basically just hating adulthood right now.
Too many decisions to make, not enough time to put them off.
Addendum
I've got a message to my contact at EGUSD asking her opinion. Basically, my best choices are:
