Friday Five
1. How much money is in your wallet right now?
None at all. In my pocket is $2 in change. This is basically the life of a student.
2. How much money would you need in the bank to feel secure? Rich?
About $3500 in the bank is a respectable cushion. I haven't had that much at one time in forever, though.
To be rich, I'd need at least a couple of hundred thousand in "spare cash" and several hundred thousand more in money-making investments.
3. If someone gave you $100, no strings attached, what would you do with it?
Unless I had bills that needed to be paid, I'd go buy some books.
4. If someone gave you $1 Million, no strings attached, what would you do with it?
Pay off all household debts. Buy a house and furnish it where needed. Buy new cars for each of us (or repair Elli's car if she wanted to keep it). Set aside the rest for the future in nice, money-earning accounts. Though I'd probably buy an Alienware gaming PC.
5. How much does something have to cost before it starts counting as "real" money, as a purchase to be considered and evaluated, but below which you'll buy without really thinking about it?
$20. The limit used to be higher, but I make considerably less money than I did then, and I've more than myself to think of, now.
