The Time has come, the Walrus said ...
Another "many small things" post:
My name change has been approved by the courts, so once I get the Decree, I can go about changing my name officially on all my paperwork and such.
I love my wife.
One of the requirements I have to meet this year is the 198T "Senior Seminar" requirement. The senior seminar is a small class (about 20 students), and the focus changes depending on who is teaching it. Next semester, Dr. Dunstan (my advisor) is teaching a seminar on young adult literature, specifically on how it focusses on the "big questions" of life: Death, war, god, etc. It sounds fascinating, so I want to take it. So far, so good.
The problem arises when I see that another required class is at the exact same time next semester, and there is only one section of each offered. Solution: Take that other class this semester. This, too, has a problem: the only teacher for this semester's class is someone about whom almost everyone I've talked to agrees, and the agreement is this: she's terrible. The kindest review of her class is that she is disorganized and ditzy, the least kind says she ought to be taken out back and shot. This does not look good.
On the other hand, there's nothing I can do about it, so I'll just have to grit my teeth and do my best.
I want an afternoon in which I have nothing to do but read.
I really need to get on that Hawthorne paper revision. The deadline's in three months and I do not want to rush it at the last second.
I need a new drug. One that won't make me sick. One that won't keep me 'wake all night*BWAM! BWAM! BWAMBWAMBWAMBWAMBWAM!*
Thank the Nine for the Narn Bat Squad.
