The Weekend
Ok, so Weekend Updates are kind of stupid -- I mean, who really cares what I did over the weekend?
Well, I do, I guess.
Friday, I went down after work to the Bay Area and met up with Elli at the domicile of two dear friends who were to be married on Saturday. The evening was pleasant; after the Rehearsal Dinner and the Rehearsal itself, which shall henceforth be known as the Great Mosquito Attack of April 15, I was exposed to the newest X-Box Must-Have title, Jade Empire. Must. Have.
Saturday was the wedding itself. It was a very nice ceremony and a great time was had by all. Elli and I saw the newlyweds off, and went to visit her parents, then drove to San Francisco, where we had a very good Ethiopian dinner with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
astrobeej and his lovely wife, had some drinks, and then returned to Beej's home, where we drank a little more and were subjected to the 1977 Star Wars Holiday Special. For that, I shall never forgive Bj. Never. It was fun, in the way watching a train wreck was fun. Glad I saw it again, hope I never see it again.
Sunday was also lovely, spent walking and driving around SF with the aforementioned Beej and Bev, and eventually Elli and I returned home.
The practical upshot of the trip is that moving back to the Bay Area -- and specifically to San Francisco -- is something Elli and I are now moving towards with purpose.
