Tuesday Morning Laugh
History of the Seperation of Church & State, as told by John Carroll. It's equal parts educational and funny as hell (and, so far as my recent history classes about the era in question can verify, pretty accurate, though I'm no expert historian, so I'll leave any quibbles to those more qualified.).
My favorite line: Meanwhile yet again, the Catholic Counter-Reformation started gearing up, and -- although no one expected it -- here came the Spanish Inquisition, a state-sponsored collegium of nasty clerics.
Gotta love a columnist who can bring Monty Python into a history lesson.
