Friday Five
This one is hard for me, because I love different movies for different things. So I basically picked an arbitrary favorite.
1. What is your favorite movie of all time?
I wish I could say something sophisticated. However, despite the many, many "highbrow" movies on my shelves, all of which I love, my "favorite" -- the one I watch when I need to be cheered up or when I just want comfort -- is Return of the Jedi.
2. How often do you watch this movie?
At least once a year, often more.
3. What's your favorite line out of the whole movie?
Luke: Han!
Han: Luke! Together again, huh? How we doing?
Luke: Same as always.
Han: That bad, eh?
4. Who's your favorite character from this movie?
I wish I could say Han Solo, because I'll get laughed at for my real choice. In this movie alone in the trilogy, I adore Luke Skywalker. He has gathered about him the dark knowledge of who his father is, and rather than let it detroy him, it has become his armor and given him a purpose: to redeem his father from the darkness that has claimed him.
And, he's less whiny. :)
5. What scene do you love the most?
When Luke has beaten Vader, and the Emperor exhorts him to kill his father and take his place at Palpatine's side. Luke looks at his father's missing right hand, then at his own mechanical hand, and stands straight and tall. Looking the Emperor in the eyes, he says "No, your majesty. I am a Jedi, like my father before me," and throws his lightsaber away, giving himself up to the Force and finally becoming a true Jedi.

Personal to Satyrlovesong:
Sheezus crispy, has it really been ten years?
How did we let that happen? And how is it that, despite actually liking each other, we continue to not stay in touch?
Dammit, woman, I want answers!
And yes, of course, I could have made a filter especially for Satyr and used it. But you know what? I chose not to. Deal.
