It's a good thing I have a campus job that will work around my schedule, because it's screwed even more than this semester's was.
The good news is that I got most of the classes I wanted. For Japanese, however, I had to take the 11am class with Luk, who is supposed to be much harder than Masuyama, who teaches the section I wanted (it's full now). I could, of course, try to add her course in the beginning of the semester, but if I couldn't, I'd be screwed, so I decided to bite the bullet. It's just a part of the "classes get harder as you go on" thing.
For my phys-ed course, I have to wait until later to add it -- at this phase of registration, you can only have 17 units. The course is only 1 unit, but I can't add it until Extended Casper, which is in early January, I think.
So the schedule will be:
MW: 11:00-11:50 Japanese
MW: 3:00-4:15 Modern Japan 1800 - present
TR: 10:30-11:45 Japanese
TR: 12:00-1:15 American Romanticism
TR: 1:30-2:45 Advanced Composition
TR: 3:00-4:15 Linguistics and the English Language
Ye gods.
Well, at least I'll be able to sleep in somewhat. Or--here's a nice idea--get up at a decent hour and actually have breakfast and do morning things before class. That'd be nice. And it won't affect my work schedule too much, though I'm going to beg for a weekend day off and redistribute those hours into the week if they'll do it.
I know I've said this too many times, but: No one ever said the secher nbiw was easy.
