A note on phone posts.

Some people have said they're annoyed that I have my phone posts set up so no one can transcribe them. I have a good reason for that: the whole point of phone posts is that it's my voice, and if it was meant to be a standard entry I just did on the phone for lack of a computer, and not one in which I intend for you to actually hear me, I'll transcribe it myself. For other entries, well, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, those of you who can't listen to them at work. But not enough to change my policy. Sorry.

Also, for you Mac users who haven't yet figured a way to play them, here's my solution: Download Mplayer, a nifty Mac OS X program that will play not only the .ogg files of phone posts, but also just about every single video format out there -- I've played AVI, mp3, mpg, wmv, and wma files on it.

The rest of you (and also Mac users who don't want/need Mplayer) can get programs to play the files from this livejournal help page.
