Yesterday my grandfather sent out the "Starbucks is pissing on our boys in Iraq!" email (which is discussed here at snopes.com. It took me all of thirty seconds to discover this rumor to be false. Sick to death of my family's tendency to just spread this crap around the net (I've lost track of how many bogus virus warnings and false rumors my grandfather has spread), I replied to all the recipients of his email with a note saying "Hey, look, a little research shows this to be a false rumor. The war in Iraq is already plenty controversial; let's not throw more logs on the fire, ok?"
This morning I get a message from one of the recipients: "Who are you? I knew it wasn't true! How did you get my address?"
I rolled my eyes and replied: "I'm Bruce Fewel's grandson. I didn't "get your address," I simply replied to all the recipients of Bruce's original email."
What I wanted to reply with was: "You are a dumbass."
