More a vignette, really. I wrote this mainly for my own fun, but then I decided to share it with the Distant Horizons playergroup (because it explains why I'll be late/no show for the next session) and with my normal readers because, well, it's fannish and silly, but I thought some of them might like it.
Recap for those who don't play: Rowan is a Time Lord. His current incarnation (the fourth) looks like Nathan Fillion (Mal Reynolds from Firefly). He's recently had to return his lover to Earth, for a lot of reasons too complicated to go into. They have a "date" for meeting anywhere from 20 to 40 years later, and Rowan's decided not to use the trickery of a time machine to get there sooner because, well -- that wouldn't be fair to Sean, who has to suffer the entire time.
The Cira mentioned in this story is a disembodied spirit of a Time Lord which bonded to the TARDIS circuitry and is now very much a part of the TARDIS. Which is both blessing and curse to Rowan, because as much as he likes her, she's a bit weird even by Time Lord standards.
So. I give you this tiny gamefic. GM, let me know if it's anathema and you don't want to use it.
