I grew up hearing that. I miss those words sorely. I miss a LOT about my City, but those words are a powerful reminder. Last night, running through an old videotape, those words came up on screen -- and I damn near cried.

I must have listened to it seven times. I am SUCH a weirdo.

1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why?

AP English. I excel at analyzing and dissecting literature, and my comprehension levels are off the charts.

2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?

Mrs Penna, Valley High School. She challenged the bejeezus out of me, and made special effort to make sure I didn't fark off on all my other classes.

3. What is your favorite memory of school?

Crossing the stage at graduation, seeing Mrs. Penna's proud eyes smiling at me as I got my diploma (she was on stage as head of department).

4. What was your favorite recess game?

Never had one after elementary school, but I'd say it was dodgeball. I once held the record for not getting hit at my school. I was /fast/. TERRIBLE at whacking others, though.

5. What did you hate most about school?

The hypocrisy of people who referred to my class (and the school) as "One big happy family" and then turned around and treated me like crap. That kind of thing soured me on school spirit real fast.

Hmm. Must remember to set my VCR timer tonight for the Ultraman Tiga debut episodes tomorrow.

Time to revisit my childhood whilst watching pretty Japanese people fight other Japanese people in goofy costumes!

Guilty Admission #347:

I used to enjoy watching the first three "Might Morphin Power Rangers" shows and had erotic fantasies about all the male cast members (and one or two of the female).

I own the first MMPR movie. It's actually quite witty. The second isn't, but it DOES have Austin St. John in skintight lycra. Yummmmmmmmy.
